Against all odds, Anna Mae Bullock, born to sharecroppers in Boonesville, Tennessee, became the legendary Tina Turner. Overcoming abandonment and domestic violence, she achieved fame with Ike Turner in the sixties and seventies. Their marriage ended due to Ike's infidelity and abuse. Tina then soared to solo superstardom, earning twelve Grammys. Her autobiography, "I, Tina," became a movie. Nearly 80, she lives in Switzerland, surviving a stroke, cancer, and a kidney transplant.
