THE BEST, also known as SIMPLY THE BEST, was written by Mike Chapman & Holly Knight. It was first recorded by Bonnie Tyler in 1988. It became a big hit and signature song for Tina Turner which she first recorded on her 1989 album “Foreign Affair”. It’s a fantastic song, but the lyrics suggest that there are relationship problems. They really should meet more people.
