Beyoncé played a slowed-down rendition of "River Deep — Mountain High," one of Tina Turner's signature songs, at her performance on July 29 at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, as she has been doing ever since Turner passed away on May 24 at the age of 83.

The Beyoncé Renaissance Tour performance began a two-night engagement in the Meadowlands.

Initially not a big hit, "River Deep — Mountain High," written by Phil Spector, Jeff Barry, and Ellie Greenwich and released by Ike & Tina Turner in 1969, has grown to be recognized as one of Tina Turner's greatest recordings. The song was eventually covered by numerous other musicians.

According to setlist.fm, this is the setlist for Beyoncé's performance. Some songs were performed in truncated versions or with song snippets.

Tina Turner, the trailblazing Black rocker whose powerful voice and imposing stage presence thrilled global audiences for decades, died at the age of 83.

Tributes poured in from around the world, with some of music's biggest names lamenting the loss of a singular and instantly recognizable performer, whose popularity spanned generations.
